30 Food is the positive food revolution to a more sustainable future. Working from 3 Main Principles: Zero Waste, Organic and 50% from 30 Miles, this is the modern way to think about our beautiful food, so we can still enjoy life’s edible delights whilst saving the planet.

Zero Waste
Whether it’s in the field, in the restaurants or at home, seeing waste as a solution rather than the problem will increase the flavour, lower the energy input and radicalise our lives for the better.

Organic
Our aim is to teach everyone the right techniques so we can all afford organic produce. Organic tastes better, promotes life from the roots up and allows us to work with nature for a more efficient food system.

The Wheatsheaf, Chilton Foliat

We took over a run down, but beautiful thatched pub in November 2015 and transformed it into “The Most Sustainable Business” in Britain as voted by the SRA and “Best Organic Eat Out” by the Soil Association. The pub was also awarded 3 Organic Served Here stars by the Soil Association, celebrating the pub’s commitment to using organic produce. We proved that sustainability does actually work at any level and still be profitable.

Using the same principles as the pub, we went on to win “Most Sustainable Hotel” at the Catey’s Hotel Awards in 2021. One of the main highlights was creating an organic No Dig Garden with 3 poly tunnels, a 0.5 acre Forest Garden in collaboration with Sapling Spirits, and restoring the historic Orchard. We also achieved Carbon Neutral status, and Highly Recommended in the Marie Claire Sustainability Awards. Full brochure click here.

Education and Schools
One of our main aims is to teach sustainability from the roots up, ensuring that children have a great understanding of how to cook using the right techniques, what foods we should be using, and where sustainable food comes from. 

We can go into schools and look at making your food offering more sustainable, helping to find locally and sustainably sourced food that is cheaper and more flavoursome.

We can help create Food Gardens at your school so children can directly learn where their food comes from, grow it themselves, and eat it in a sustainable school meal.
